![]() Cross-platform multiplayer and a large variety of free community-created modifications, officially tested by GIANTS Software, extend the farming experience many times over. ![]() Whether they create a lush vineyard or an olive orchard in the Mediterranean south of France, a vast farmland full of wheat and corn in the US-Midwest or a lively animal farm in the hilly landscape of the Alps: More than 400 machines and tools from over 100 real agricultural brands like Case IH, CLAAS, Deutz-Fahr, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many more are available. ![]() A multitude of new gameplay features, like new ground working mechanics as well as a character creator for individual farmers, offer more content and player freedom than ever before. So my recomendation, buy a pickup and go to the area you think might work, check for the bumpyness of the land, if looks like the surface of the moon it might not be suitable, but if it looks like rolling hills, you should be good to go with some teraforming.Players creatively build their own farm and extend their operations with production chains - forming an agricultural empire! They focus on agriculture, animal husbandry and forestry while facing new challenges like the four seasons. As long ad there are no sudden elevation changes of course. You'll be able to work fields with about 10° incline relatively easily. ![]() As while it's not flat, it's fairly smooth in it's slopes. This will provide a decent for an initial field. The territory immediatly north of the vehicle shop, is where I chose to start. Then drag the new environment.xml into it. There are of course areas where this won't be suitable, but I plan tk scout and plan as I go. For base maps steamapps>common>farming simulator 22>data>maps and then open the map folder. Started with the lands nearest to the New Farmer farm house (I'm in farm manager) once I have the land cleared I plan to, use the terraforming tools to smooth out the land for a field. Having only just started myself, I made a rough plan, of having my productions on the relatively flat land to the south. The new machinery is just a bonus, that will make the goal of turning Silverrun Forest into arable farmland. The big sandbox maps like no-man's land, don't really fit my preference as the map is simply too sparse (I know that's the point of it).įor me Silverrun alone is worth the dlc, the map is a breath of fresh air in the series, it's the first official map, to fully support forrestry, it dosen't overly hamper traditional agriculture or animal husbandry, and it fits into my goals of a from scratch farm. In the base game maps though this wasn't really possible, most of the mod maps are a similar story though they may have more trees for logging. Clearing land for fields, making my own farm yards etc. I wanted to effectively build my farm from the ground up. For me though this didn't really hit what I wanted to do in farming sim. If you wanted ti do logging you needed to plant the trees first. And the base game maps barely supported it. Personally, I had bought the game with the year 1 pass, I was getting platinum expansion regardless of content. Or a step away from the harder, more realistic sim game and a step towards the more casual sim game. And while I still enjoy the game and some of the new stuff FS22 brought to the series, it probably has taken a step back. Not because it didn't do enough, but because the game couldn't let it do more. FS falls somewhere in-between yet appeals to the whole wide range of sim gamer. The other will not do a thing for your real-world knife skills. One will help you improve real-world driving skills. The game engine and design imposes limits on just how much can be simulated. Maize Plus offers multiple tedding passes but they are not enforced with time and moisture requirements. But I'm talking about waiting for grass to dry, not landing a plane. I know there are sim games that put more effort into weather. Are you thinking I am defending what we have? You said Seasons 19 was better and Giants removed stuff.
